Shadowed Threads (Rylee Adamson #4) By: Shannon Mayer

Plot:

O’Shea is AWOL, and Tracking him is proving to be harder than I expected. Not to mention the small fact that I have the Beast of Bodmin Moor chasing me across Europe, in a race against the odds, and my life as the prize. But those things are minor compared to the secrets that finally come to light. Secrets I wish had stayed hidden in the darkness . . . .

Review:

Holy cow, some shit went down in this book. Pretty much every character that has been in the series so far was in this book. O’Shea, Faris, Doran, Milly, Berget, and almost everyone else.

Even with all those people to follow it never really got confusing. It was too exciting and fast paced to get confused.

So many twists and turns, I really hope Rylee stops trusting Faris. She seemed like she would by the end, but I hope she stays by that. He’s done too much to be forgiven or trusted.

She also seems to take oaths pretty easily. I wonder how or if it’s going to bite her in the ass?

Raising Innocence (Rylee Adamson #3) By: Shannon Mayer

Plot:

The FBI wants me on their team. Bad enough that they are dangling bait they KNOW I can’t resist. The catch? It’s on the other side of the ocean. And if I want what they’re offering, I have to help them with a salvage gone terribly, terribly wrong. But this time, I have no back up. I have no Plan B. And I have no O’Shea.

Review:

Well I didn’t get much of O’Shea, he was in the book but more of a set up for upcoming issues. What I did get was the addition of a teenage sidekick, which I love, and finally some answers about Milly.

You’ve got to feel for Rylee. So much happened in this book and she was just great. I still really want to know what happens next with her and O’Shea, but it looks like there are going to be a lot of issues there.

There are several similarities between the Rylee Adamson series and the Kate Daniels series, but I honestly don’t care. Both are great series and I just want MORE!!!

Immune (Rylee Adamson #2) By: Shannon Mayer

Plot:

“My name is Rylee, and I am a Tracker.” When children go missing, and the Humans have no leads, I’m the one they call. I am their last hope in bringing home the lost ones. I salvage what they cannot. Underestimating demons is a bad idea, and it’s a mistake that may cost me not only my own life, but the life of a missing child. If I can swallow my pride, and allow Agent O’Shea to help me find a way to deal with the demon, we might be able to save the child. With this salvage, it’s a race against time, a test of trust, and a temptation that I’m doing my damnedest to ignore. If only swallowing my pride was that easy.

Review:

This book did not dip in quality at all from the first. Still a well written, awesome story.

There was more relationship and world building going on, but not enough to get boring or tedious. One of the things I love about this series, so far, is it never lacks for action. There is almost always something going on, but it still builds to a great climax.

The ending had me immediately buying the next book, because I have to know what happens to O’Shea. I also hope that she answers what’s up Millie’s butt soon, I’d really like to know what’s going on with her.

Incredibly excited to have found this series.

Priceless (Rylee Adamson #1) By: Shannon Mayer

Plot:

“My name is Rylee and I am a Tracker.” When children go missing, and the Humans have no leads, I’m the one they call. I am their last hope in bringing home the lost ones. I salvage what they cannot. I’m on the FBI’s wanted list. I have a werewolf for a pet, a Witch of a best friend, and have no need for anyone else in my life. But when a salvage starts to spin out of control, help comes from a most unexpected direction. One that is dangerously dark, brooding, and doesn’t know a thing about the supernatural. One whose kisses set me on fire.

Review:

Wow! This book is so great and it blindsided me. I’m always looking for something to tide me over until the next Ilona Andrews or Patricia Briggs book comes out, but no matter how many recommendations I get nothing ever measures up. This was as close as I’ve gotten and I’m so freakin happy!

Rylee reminds me of Kate Daniels, she’s not as big a badass, but she’s got that same moral compass and feel to her. O’Shea is definitely not the beast lord but he’s the perfect match for Rylee and I love him already.

Enjoyed all the strays that were picked up along the way and I’m looking forward to learning more about the world.

When I bought this it was $.99 and it is worth so much more than that. As soon as I finished I bought the second one and I am thrilled to see that I have so many books ahead of me to read.
