Plot:

A successful, charismatic four-star general, Glenn McMahon, leaps in like a rock star to command NATO forces in Afghanistan, only to be taken down by a journalist’s no-holds-barred exposé.

Review:

Really liked this trailer and was thinking it was going to be like The Big Short only about the Afghanistan war. Sadly, it was not. The movie wasn’t funny because war isn’t really funny and the entire time I was watching I kept thinking people died based on decisions made by these people. It was sad.

I realize this is a fictionalized version of events, but it was still close enough to not be amusing. Overall, the movie was more depressing than anything and even though the acting was good, it’s not something I would recommend.
