Well, last night I finished reading Murder on Cold Street by Sherry Thomas and today I finished reading A Princess for Christmas by Jenny Holiday. It’s been a bit since I read an entire book in a day, but it was one of those books and one of those days. So my Cold Street review won’t post until tomorrow.

Next up! The Twelve Dates of Christmas by Jenny Bayliss. It’s another Christmas book! Lol I loved the last one so hopefully I like this one just as much. We’ll see…

2021 has been a slow start for me. Even though there was no holiday traveling last year I feel wiped out. Until recently I wasn’t able to focus on a book for any length of time. Hopefully that’s changing, but I’m not going to push myself.

I had to bail on my last book. It was YA and not doing it for me. I didn’t like the main character. Life is too short to force myself to read a book I’m not enjoying even a little.

So now I’m reading The Awakening by Nora Roberts. Based on the blurb I’m not expecting a romance. I kind of miss her romance trilogies, but I can understand as a writer wanting to try something new. I ended up mostly liking her The Chronicles of the One series, so I’m hoping to like this one too.

As you can maybe see in the background I’m also playing Splatoon. There’s a Splatfest going on right now and I try to play those. I don’t have strong feelings on the teams this time around, but the Star shirt is cooler. So *shrug*

I finished reading Snapped by Alexa Martin. I’ll try to post a review tomorrow. I’m finally caught up with my library books!! I’ve got several on hold but I’m pretty low on the list so I don’t expect them anytime soon.

Since I don’t have any library books I’m able to read books I’ve bought guilt free! First up is To the North by Evan L. Grove. It’s a fantasy with a beautiful cover that came highly recommend from a friend. I’ve got a lot going on for the next week and a half, like everyone, so I don’t expect to have much time to read. But I’ll make time.

Happy Holidays!

I finished reading The Midnight Bargain by C.J. Polk. My review is posting tomorrow. I stayed up late and then woke up earlier than usual to finish it. I liked it.

Next up is Love is a Rogue by Lenora Bell. I’ve not read anything by her and the blurb isn’t really doing it for me. I feel kind of bad for the book because it’s following one I enjoyed so much. Someone had to.

I’ve been reading the Paolini book for a few days off and on. Even then I’m not very far in. The beginning was very heavy handed with the foreshadowing, think Walk Hard, so I wasn’t really motivated to read. Now that I’m past that I’m hoping things get better.

I’m also reading Peaceful Parents, Happy Kids because my goal is to be as cool as the parents in Easy A with Emma Stone. We’ll see if this helps.
