Reader Abduction (Alien Abduction #7) By: Eve Langlais

Plot:

An alien fantasy brought to life…

It should have been a simple volunteer job. Keep the events for the Romancing the Capital convention running smooth. But from the moment Brigitte lays eyes on the male model dipped in purple, hired for the galactic party, she is thrown into a tizzy—mostly because of his stolen kiss.

Imagine her shock once she realizes he’s not an actor. This purple alien is for real!

And Phyr didn’t come to RTC alone. He brought a bunch of his mercenary friends to help him abduct all the single ladies. These readers are about to go on a galactic adventure wilder than anything they’ve ever read in a book—and hotter than anything they could have imagined.
Review:

This was one of those ideas that sounded better than it actually was. I pre-ordered this book as soon as I saw it because I love this series but also because I thought the premise was hilarious. Sadly, much like the first pilot of Fuller House I feel like there were just too many nods to fans.

Once you got past the initial abduction things progressed just like the other alien abduction books by Eve, the only problem was that so many words were spent on the beginning that I felt like the actual story was very rushed. The two main characters barely spent any time with each other but of course they were in love and of course Phyr resisted all the way up until the end.

I don’t know, maybe I just wasn’t in the right mood for this? I was really looking forward to it and was so excited when it arrived but once I started reading I just didn’t feel it. If you’ve read the rest of the series I’m sure you’ll enjoy, but this is definitely not a good starting point for any newbies.

Panther’s Claim (Bitten Point #2) By: Eve Langlais

Panther's Claim

Panther’s Claim (Bitten Point #2) By: Eve Langlais

Plot:

Cynthia: So I met a man. Mom: Is he single? Hitting on the wrong woman finds Daryl regaining consciousness in a motel taped to a chair. Things were looking up–and not just below the belt. A sexy, cocoa-complexioned veterinarian–with killer curves–wants answers, and he’s only too happy to give them to her, for a price, say a kiss, or something more, from those luscious lips. The problem is Cynthia isn’t the type to fall for flirty words and panty-dropping smiles. She tempts Daryl into helping her. Teases him into acting. Claims his heart without even trying. But that was okay because…She’s mine…and someone was trying to hurt her. Hell no. This kitty isn’t afraid to unleash his claws and rescue the woman he wants. An intriguing, hot woman, a mystery, and danger? Sounds like fun, and Daryl is ready to play. He’ll do anything to claim Cynthia as his mate.

Review:

Kind of let down by this book. I liked the romance, but I wish the rest of the story had been developed more. Cyn comes to Bitten Point to find her friend Aria but sorta doesn’t care by the end since she’s found her man. It mentions off hand that she got a call from her that sounded odd but Aria said she was fine. That was it. This was after they found a body and already had one mysterious call from her friend.

I liked the romance, the characters, but wish that there was more story development.

Croc’s Return (Bitten Point #1) By: Eve Langlais

Crocs Return

Croc’s Return (Bitten Point #1) By: Eve Langlais

Plot:

Coming home doesn’t always solve things … but it does pave the way for second chances. Take one deadly bite and, bam, a man’s life is changed forever, or so Caleb discovers when a loss of control leads to him joining the military and leaving everything behind. Time goes by … years spent silent and alone, cut off from those he loves. Until it’s time to come back, a scarred veteran, in many ways broken and looking for a meaning to his life. Perhaps it’s not too late to right some wrongs. Make amends. Kiss a certain pair of sweet lips one more time. If only Renny would damned well let him. It doesn’t take Caleb long to realize Renny’s just the thing this croc needs to bring him back to life. Yet, what if he loses control again? He doesn’t want to take nibbling on her thighs to a whole new level. Too bad, he can’t stay away, especially not when he discovers her secret. Add in a strange creature stalking the townsfolk and there is no way he’s leaving her alone. Years ago it just about killed him to leave, but Caleb’s a changed man now. A darker kind of animal, and this retired soldier is ready to kill so he can stay. Welcome to Bitten Point, where the swamp doesn’t just keep its secrets, it sometimes eats them.

Review:

I was a little emotionally raw when I read this, leftover from Sweep in Peace, and I ended up crying more than this book probably warranted.

Caleb is a returning soldier that dealt with the evil from the Kodiak Point books. He’s scared in more ways than one and ready to put his life back together. Of course things are never that easy.

Lots of reveals and a new evil to fight, I’m excited to see what comes next.

When an Omega Snaps (A Lion’s Pride #3) By: Eve Langlais

When an Omega Snaps

When an Omega Snaps (A Lion’s Pride #3) By: Eve Langlais

Plot:

Leo is the calm guy. The nice guy. The one nobody screws with. So could someone explain that to Meena so she stops driving him insane—with desire.

When Meena literally throws herself at Leo and declares he’s her mate, his first reaction is to deny—and run far, far away. This lion/tiger mix doesn’t do drama and chaos. Problem is, once he sets eyes on her, he can’t help but want the vivacious blonde with plus-sized curves, perfect for a big man like himself.

He wants her even if it breaks all his rules when it comes to women.
Wants her even if she destroys his serenity.
Wants her more than a perfectly grilled piece of steak with a dash of garlic, pepper, and salt.

Thing is, someone else wants her too.

This poor omega is about to have his world turned upside down, which means everyone better watch out because when Leo experiences love, jealousy, and frustration for the first time, he doesn’t just snap—he roars!

Review:

Loved Meena and how brash and accident prone she was, Leo was a perfect match for her. Didn’t like how she called him Pookie, probably the worst pet name ever.

I actually cried while reading this book because I could really empathize with Meena and how people treated her. I loved how romantic Leo was, he was really everything that Meena deserved.

I thought that Eve’s editor missed quite a bit and was kind of surprised by it. It wasn’t so bad as every page, but it was things that should have been caught.

Excited to read the next in the series!

A Tiger’s Bride (A Lion’s Pride #4) By: Eve Langlais

A Tigers Bride

A Tiger’s Bride (A Lion’s Pride #4) By: Eve Langlais

Plot:

When at first you don’t succeed—turn to abduction.

It’s all in a day’s work when this Siberian tiger meets the woman he wants.

An accidental kidnapping? Check.

A forced marriage? Check.

A virgin bride? Damn. There go his plans for seduction and here comes the pressure into making her first time perfect. Because everyone knows that’s the one she’ll remember, forever. Gulp.

Add in a plane crash as well as hunters out to capture them and the heat is truly on.

Can this Siberian tiger meet the challenge?
Review:

I didn’t enjoy this one as much as the last. Teena and Dmitri were both fine, I thought Dmitri was funny, but it just wasn’t as romantic. Things moved pretty fast, but—I don’t know I just wasn’t feeling it.

Oh well. Liked the series. Love Eve. Looking forward to reading her newest book about a Crocodile.
