Wolfs Capture

Wolf’s Capture (Kodiak Point #4) By: Eve Langalis

Plot:

She might think she’s captured the wolf, but in the end, he’ll take her heart.

Brody is a soldier who misses the excitement of the military and its missions. He retired to work as clan beta in Kodiak Point. Talk about boring, until he’s captured by a foreign enemy.

Him, a prisoner?

Not for long. This wolf will do anything in order to get away–even if it involves seduction.

First step in plotting his escape: pretend interest in a woman. But Layla isn’t just any woman. She’s special.

Not human. Not shifter. He doesn’t know what this exotic lady is other than his.

A prisoner for years, Layla isn’t sure what to make of the enemy who shares a cell with her. He promises her hope, but that would involve trust. Despite her doubts, she can’t help but be drawn to him. Unacceptable which means she does her best to drive him nuts.

Working together, can they escape the clutches of the enemy?

And do they dare fall in love?

Welcome to Kodiak Point, where the wildlife might wear clothes, but animal instinct rules the heart.

Review:

I liked Layla, after all she’d been through she still had hope, and a smart mouth. I wish we actually found out more about her. Her background, who her mother was, how she had the abilities that she did.

Brody was a good alpha male, full of himself but not to the point where he made mistakes. Maybe a little bland, but he got the job done.

I liked that we got to see all the other shifters, though not their mates, just the dudes. I’d like to know how their lives are going and I like it when authors bring previous characters back into play.

Only one more book left in the series and I’m excited to find out who the Master is, I have a pretty good guess, but I’m looking forward to seeing him get defeated.

Polar Bared (Kodiak Point #3) By: Eve Langalis

Plot:

When Vicky accidentally slides into the side of a polar bear, she doesn’t expect to fall in love. Eaten yes, perhaps used as a chew toy, but become the object of a bear’s affection and lust? Crazy! Almost as crazy as the fact the polar bear turns out to be a man. A sexy man. A man who growls, and roars and does everything he can to chase her away. Only to come back. Gene only has one thing on his mind, vengeance, until Vicky crashes into his life. Poor Gene. After the pain and betrayal he suffered in the war all he wants is revenge against the brothers who left him behind. But he’s confused when instead of wanting to punish him for his evil acts, they offer him forgiveness. Who does that?! As if that weren’t annoying enough, the cutest geek he ever met–with caramel kissed skin and wearing the sexiest dark rimmed glasses–won’t leave him alone. Or more like, he can’t seem to stop following her. And it isn’t just because someone is out to hurt her. He wants her. But does he want her more than vengeance? Welcome to Kodiak Point where the wildlife might wear clothes, but animal instinct rules the heart.

Review:

I loved Gene and Vicky. Poor scared Gene that went through so much, thankfully he never killed anyone during his quest for vengeance. I’m glad he turned back to the good side.

Vicky wasn’t the normal strong assertive heroine that I like, she was abused by her father and her husband and fainted any time she was stressed. I couldn’t help but like her though. She was trying so hard to create herself and stop being a victim and Boris helped her. He didn’t swaddle her up and protect her from the world he was abrasive and rude and she knew that he would never hurt her. I loved them as a couple.

Outfoxed by Love (Kodiak Point #2) By: Eve Langlais

outfoxed by love

Outfoxed by Love (Kodiak Point #2) By: Eve Langlais

Plot:

Don’t moose with his fox! A bullheaded moose doesn’t stand a chance when a fox decides to make him her mate. Boris left to defend his country still a boy. He came back a changed man. A damaged man. But Jan still wants him. A man of few words, Boris has a firm way of saying No, but this determined vixen knows he’s her mate. Despite some less than subtle overtures, Jan has not had much success in getting her bullheaded moose to notice her, but all that changes when her life is put in danger. Suddenly the damaged soldier keeps finding excuses to come to her rescue, but as far as Jan is concerned, her mate is the one in need of saving. It will take some subtle maneuvering to outfox her moose into admitting he loves her, but this wily vixen is more than ready for the challenge. And if that doesn’t work, momma’s offered to loan her the shot gun used for her own engagement.

Review:

So I liked Jan, she was a lady that could use many different weapons to kill you, too bad it took Boris so damn long to realize she was more than she appeared to be. Honestly the only thing that would have kept me waiting that long for a man was a literally uncontrollable force, and apparently that’s what their mating was. However, they were both able to still bang other people during this period which I find odd.

Boris annoyed me. He resisted Jan for years apparently all because he was damaged. I felt sorry for him at first but he was just too damn stubborn and took too long to come around.

Oh well, I like the town that’s being created and even though Boris was a stubborn pig I liked this story.

Kodiak’s Claim (Kodiak Point #1) By: Eve Langlais

Kodiaks Claim

Kodiak’s Claim (Kodiak Point #1) By: Eve Langlais

Plot:

A BIG Bear Romance. He might growl, but she’s not afraid to bite. Hands full taking care of his clan, the last thing this Kodiak bear needs is a woman poking her cute little nose into his affairs. But when she refuses to back down–and shows the courage to stand up to him–he can’t resist the allure of a curvy city girl. She’s mine. All mine. And when a rival clan thinks to use her to force his paw, he’ll show them why you never piss off a Kodiak, or threaten what’s his. Tammy is convinced all men are scum, even gorgeous ones like Reid Carver. She knows he’s hiding something. Something big. She just never expected a real freaking bear hid underneath all those yummy muscles. But when the truth comes out and he tries to scare her off with a roar, she shows him not just bears have bite.

Review:

I really should know better than to start an Eve Langlais book at night. I ended up staying up until two o’clock in the morning so that I could finish. Today is going to be rough.

Loved Tammy, she was not delicate but was still very much a woman. After years of boyfriends constantly carping on her weight she naturally had a bit of a complex but she wasn’t overly needy about Reid telling her that she was perfect. I loved that she clobbered him with an iron skillet and shot him with a shotgun.

Reid was a good hero and I didn’t find him too overbearing which sometimes happens with these alpha males. I think it really helped that Tammy just wouldn’t let him order her around and he accepted that, for the most part.

I love the humor and story in an Eve Langlais book, and Kodiak’s Claim hit those marks for me.

Heroic Abduction

Heroic Abduction By: Eve Langlais (Alien Abduction #5)

Plot:

Bucking family tradition, Dyre is determined to become his planet’s first hero, even if it breaks his mother’s heart. He sets out on numerous quests to save the universe, however his altruism never seems to turn out quite as expected. Who knew doing the right thing was so hard? In between saving those who don’t want his help—and the chaos that follows—he rescues a damsel in distress. She doesn’t appreciate his heroic abduction, and even worse, once Dyre gets to know the outspoken human, he entertains less than noble thoughts about ravishing her. It takes only a couple of comical mishaps, some hot kisses and danger for Dyre and Betty to discover their happily ever after—and thank the stars for a heroine who ends up saving this hero, and the galaxy, from his chivalrous side.

Review:

I love this series. I love almost everything that Eve Langlais puts out. I’m so happy that she seems content to just keeping pumping books out.

Anyway back to this book. Dyre really just wants to be a hero the only problem is he was raised by mercenaries and his entire race has evolved to be the best at that profession. Betty just wants to find her friend. Sexiness happens. Liked the story and the characters, now I just have to wait for more.
