I put 15 books on hold a few weeks back. I did that many because they’re all newer books with long wait times. Naturally three came in at one time and I picked up Tristan Strong because I’ve been meaning to read it.
As soon as I got home I received a notification that two more books were ready to pick up.
It begins again, another race to read my library books as fast as possible. 🏃♀️📚
I finished Spoiler Alert yesterday after staying up wayyyy to late. Now I’m moving on to The Roommate by Rosie Danan. It’s about a straitlaced trust fund woman and her surprise roommate who is a pornstar. It sounds awesome and I’m excited to see where this goes.
I’ve been playing a LOT of Stardew Valley and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. However, that’s meant that my reading and movie watching has taken a sideline. It’s still happening, but at a slower pace. Hopefully, I’m able to read all my library books, though. Fingers crossed!
I picked up three books from the library today. I returned three. I’ve still got eight to read. It’s never ending 😩
I’ve decided to change how I pick which order to read them. I was trying to read the ones with the longest wait times, but I end up putting off the books I most want to read. Which ends up slowing me down. So I’m going to read what I want first in the hopes that I’ll be able to whittle my stack down faster. I have five more books I’m waiting for, so I have to read faster!
Anyway, I’m currently reading In the Company of Wolves by Paige Tyler. It’s Halloween, and while it isn’t as busy as previous years, there are still things to do so I’m not sure how much I’ll get done. I mean, I have to play Animal Crossing and the Splatfest going on in Splatoon, right??
The election will end up slowing me down too. Honestly, I’m really hoping I can read at least two books this week, but no idea if I’ll be able to do even that. I’ll have to see what happens!
For the first time in weeks I didn’t have a single book for me to pickup. I did, however have a backbreaking number of books to pick up for my kids. My library system is pretty awesome and have a program where they will pick out kids books for you. You tell them what kind and how many and then come pick them up. It’s wonderful!
I’m still making my way through The Constant Rabbit. So far I’m enjoying it, but I’m already getting mad at what’s going on in the story. It’s the usual Jasper Fforde writing style and humor, which I love. Hopefully I can finish it in the next couple of days.
