Plot:

Calvin Carter, a successful business executive, has it all, but neglects those closest to him. On Christmas Eve, all that changes when the sign on his office building falls on him.

Review:

I enjoy the fact that Christmas movies like to do the whole repeat day trope. Somehow I’ve managed not to see this one before, even though it’s older. It had a pretty good cast, writing and story were a bit weak, but it was alright.

Slight religious overtones, there’s someone that might be an angel and a reference to God, but it’s not in your face so it didn’t bother me.

No sweet romance, which was a bit of a bummer, but it didn’t belong in the story, so it wasn’t really missed.

Man learns the true meaning of Christmas and that being a raging capitalist isn’t the be all, end all.

Plot:

At the invitation of an estranged relative, a young woman travels with her niece and nephew to a castle in Europe for Christmas, where she unwittingly falls for a dashing Prince.

Review:

Christmas and royalty and romance, a combination I’m only now realizing I enjoy.

Snow and pretty horses, check.

Snobby, grasping blond, check.

Cheesy dialogue, longing glances, and a complete castle transformation for Christmas, check.

Last, but not least, a misunderstanding that almost ruins it all, check.

I love the predictable nature of these movies. I don’t even mind the fact that the actress occasionally lost her American accent. Or that the teenage boy had a really creepy/pervy look several times throughout the movie. It was exactly what I was looking for and I hope I’m able to find more.

Oddly enough, or maybe not, it’s really very similar to A Christmas Prince which I watched earlier. Honestly, it might end up making my yearly rotation, I don’t know why I liked it just a little bit more than A Christmas Prince, even though Rose McIver was really great in that version.

Review:

I was not expecting to see a Netflix Original Movie like this one, though, I should have been. Cheap Christmas movies are perfect for Netflix, they should make more because this one seemed like it had a slightly larger budget than a Hallmark movie and Rose McIver was a much better actress than we normally get. However, it still had all the things I love about cheesy Christmas movies.

Sweet romance, check.

Snow and Christmas decorations, check.

Misunderstandings that lead to an almost horrible ending, check.

A sweet child and an American woman that saves Christmas and an entire countries political future, um, check.

Really enjoyed this movie, though, I don’t think it’s going to become a yearly tradition. I might end up watching it again though. If you’re a fan of Hallmark Christmas movies then you’ll love this one.

Plot:

Josh Futturman, a janitor by day and a gamer by night, is recruited by mysterious visitors to travel through time to prevent the extinction of humanity.

Review:

Alright, so it’s a time travel show, I had to watch it. I started the first episode and my husband happened to see it, huge mistake. Future Man is hilarious and because of that now I can’t binge the show like it was made to be consumed. I have to watch an episode a night, at most, because my husband is loving it and wants to watch it with me.

The humor is crude, the future bleak, and there are several time jumps. I’m really enjoying the show, I’m not finished yet, but I’m already hoping there’s a second season.

If you want to watch all episodes are currently available on Hulu.com and the way each episode ends it’s made to be binged. Since they’re only thirty minutes long it’s easy to consume and so much fun.

Review:

BEST MARVEL MOVIE!

I know, that’s a pretty bold statement, but I stand by it. The music was awesome. The characters were fun. The acting was great. The story, always the weak spot in a Thor movie, was entertaining. Seriously, days later and I still can’t think of a single thing that I didn’t love.

Thor’s hair was cut, they somehow took an already super attractive man and made him that much more attractive. His comedy timing was perfect and it felt like they finally found a good balance for the role.

The Hulk was great, he’s a character that can’t really carry a movie all on his own, but adding him to a Thor movie worked out beautifully.

The new characters and world were fun and exciting and honestly I just freaking loved this entire thing. If I could I would see it again and again in theaters. It was that good.

I loved the colors, I loved the action, I loved the comedy, I loved it all.

I know, I know, this is a sucky review, but just go watch the movie.
