Disney Toybox New Play Set

We’ve got a new set showing up in the Disney Store online today. It’s an Iron Man Hall of Armor Play Set. It comes with an Iron Man figure and two different add on suits. The figure itself doesn’t look different than the last one that came out. The suits appear to click on and I believe will work on any already released Iron Man figure.

It seems like Disney is focusing on Play Sets right now. I can see how that would bring in a younger audience, so hopefully kids like it so we continue to get cool figures.

Disney Toybox Gift Sets

This morning I checked the Disney store and there were new gift sets and play sets. Mickey Mouse and Friends, Spider-Man Figure Set, Slave I, and Zurg’s Lair.

Zurg’s Lair comes out of nowhere. It’s been a while since we’ve had any Toy Story figures released, there hasn’t been a new movie or even a short, so I definitely wasn’t expecting it. Slave I was less of a surprise, especially after the most recent Mandalorian episode.

The Mickey Mouse set is $50. Since none of the figures appear to be showing up in the Disney Store anymore, if you missed any of them this would be the time to pick them up. You’re not really saving any money, though, so if you find them individually it would be cheaper.

I believe this is the first time that Spider-Hulk has been available. So if you’re trying to collect all the Hulks this might end up being the only way. The TIE Fighter pilot has yet to be available any other way than the set. So if you want Spider-Pig or Zurg, this might be the easiest way for you.

With Christmas coming it’s not much of a surprise that these are being released now. These are pretty expensive sets, ranging from $35-50. This is going to be a very tight year, financially, for a lot of people, unless they decide to put these on sale I’m not sure how many people will splurge for them.

Even MORE Disney Toybox Figures 08/17/2020

It looks like there was a drop of new Marvel Toybox figures! We’ve got Ghost-Spider (Spider-Gwen), Venomized Hulk, Venomized Spider-Man, Spider-Man and Spider-Ham Bike Set.

SuperSorrell has a picture of each on his Instagram which I’ve linked here. None of these are showing up yet on the Disney store.

This is the third Hulk figure and the hundredth Spider-Man figure. Seriously, it’s getting a bit ridiculous with the Spider-Men. Spider-Ham is cool, but a venomized Spider-Man and Hulk? Maybe finish releasing the Guardian’s of the Galaxy or more X-Men figures. Something new please.

New Star Wars Disney Toybo Figures! 08/16/20

Sorry for the bad pictures, I’m using screenshots of SuperSorrells Instagram. I was too excited to wait for better images.

It looks like we’re getting Jango Fett!! If the back of the box is any indication we’re also getting another Stormtrooper and maybe the Mandalorian! Love new Star Wars figures, even though I’m running out of space.

As soon as they’re up in the store I’ll add them to my lists.

08/13/2020 New Disney Toybox Figures!

It’s been a while since Disney updated their Disney Toybox line. Considering the pandemic that might not have been the plan. Even with that I was starting to get concerned. Two days ago SuperSorrell updated his Instagram to include a preview image of two new figures. Today, when I checked, they were both showing up on the store!

Migueland Héctor from Coco are the newest editions to the Pixar lineup. This was one of my favorite movies of recent Pixar releases. The music and visuals are great and the story touching. With Halloween just around the corner this isn’t as out there of a choice as I originally thought. The movie is older after all.

There’s a lot of personality in the figures and the accessories are nice. I do wonder how well the hat stays on his head or the guitars even. There appear to be several moveable joints as well. All in all I’m happy with the newbies.
