Thoughts:

I did not watch Toy Story. I’m fourteen years older than my younger brother and he went through a phase where we watched this and Toy Story 2 every single day. Then both of my kids went through a similar phase. I have this god damn movie memorized. I have watched it more than any other movie. Still, I don’t hate it, but I’m not going to watch it when I can close my eyes and watch it from start to finish.

New Disney Toybox Figures

In time for Halloween we’ve got a new Jack Skellington figure and a double pack of Miguel and Héctor. This time Miguel has no face paint, so he is different. Héctor looks the same, though, he doesn’t come with his hat or guitar.

I love the first Jack figure, but it was sold out before I started collecting and I wasn’t able to purchase the original reissue. Not sure if I’ll splurge and get this one either. Especially since it looks like they’re going to be releasing a Captain Carter figure soon. Still, once again nice to see new figures, especially in the neglected Disney and Pixar lines.

All lists have been updated.

Disney Toybox Jessie and Bullseye

There’s a new Jessie in town. This is our third iteration of her, though, she looks pretty much the same as the others. This is also the first Pixar figure in half a year if not more. If you weren’t able to or didn’t want to shell out the money for the Toy Story collection this will be a cheaper way to get Bullseye, though the two figures are one of the more expensive at $18.99.

It doesn’t look like they’ve fixed the hat issue Jessie and Woody have had, so keep that in mind if you decide to buy.

Personally, I believe they had extras and decided to repackage, but I have no way to confirm that. Oh well, enjoy.

08/13/2020 New Disney Toybox Figures!

It’s been a while since Disney updated their Disney Toybox line. Considering the pandemic that might not have been the plan. Even with that I was starting to get concerned. Two days ago SuperSorrell updated his Instagram to include a preview image of two new figures. Today, when I checked, they were both showing up on the store!

Migueland Héctor from Coco are the newest editions to the Pixar lineup. This was one of my favorite movies of recent Pixar releases. The music and visuals are great and the story touching. With Halloween just around the corner this isn’t as out there of a choice as I originally thought. The movie is older after all.

There’s a lot of personality in the figures and the accessories are nice. I do wonder how well the hat stays on his head or the guitars even. There appear to be several moveable joints as well. All in all I’m happy with the newbies.

More New Toybox Figures!

Alright, so I was right with the guess that Peter Pan was one of the missing figures. He is number 15 in the Disney line. We’re still missing numbers 13 & 14 because the other two figures are a set of Donald and Goofy, and then Mike Wazowski and Randall from Monsters Inc. Donald and Goofy are listed as number 17.

Peter Pan is the new lower price, however Captain Hook from last time is not. I wonder if that’s because Hook is larger? Mike & Randal and Donald & Goofy are both priced higher since it’s two figures.

Personal opinion, they did a better job stylizing Pan, but the other new figures are a bit disappointing. Randall looks to be the only one they tried to do a little something. I’ve never been a big fan of those two series (I prefer the Star Wars line) so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

I’ll continue to be on the lookout for the missing numbers 13 & 14. All lists on my site have been updated as well.
