catching fire

Directed By:

Francis Lawrence

Starring:

Jennifer Lawrence

Josh Hutcherson

Liam Hemsworth

Plot:

Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark become targets of the Capitol after their victory in the 74th Hunger Games sparks a rebellion in the Districts of Panem.

Review:

I really enjoyed these books and while I thought the first movie was good it just didn’t have the same excitement for me that the book had. This movie, I thought, was much better. As soon as it was over I wanted to watch the next movie. Since I couldn’t I wanted to read the next book.

I haven’t seen any of these movies in theaters but if I can I might try and see the next one.

Directed By:

Jerusha Hess

Starring:

Keri Russell

JJ Feild

Jennifer Coolidge

Plot:

Obsessed with Pride and Prejudice (1995), a woman travels to a Jane Austen theme park in search for her perfect gentleman.

Review:

So I’m a girl, which pretty much means I love Pride and Prejudice. Yes, I do know some women who don’t like it but they’re weird. I love it. Not on the same level as Keri Russell’s character in this movie though.

Jennifer Coolidge was freaking hilarious. Story was very Austen. Definitely going to be buying this.

Nebraska (2013)

nebraska

Directed By:

Alexander Payne

Starring:

Bruce Dern

Will Forte

June Squibb

Plot:

An aging, booze-addled father makes the trip from Montana to Nebraska with his estranged son in order to claim a million-dollar Mega Sweepstakes Marketing prize.

Review:

Movies with a slow build up aren’t something I normally enjoy. I like my movies fast, like my women. There were some parts that were slower than others, and I couldn’t decide if I either loved or hated the mother, but the pay off was heartwarming.

Doe and the Wolf

doe and wolf

Doe and the Wolf By: Eve Langlais

Plot:

What happens when a predator falls for his prey?

Bounty hunting is the perfect job for a maverick wolf; flexible hours, decent pay, the thrill of the chase. But Everett never counted on a doe stopping him in his furry tracks.

Dawn was a prisoner of Mastermind and ended up experimented on, against her wishes. On the run from Furry United Coalition agents, she ends up in the arms—and bed—of a lupine bounty hunter. Instinct tells her to run when she gets a chance because everyone knows not to trust the big, bad wolf, but her heart begs her to stay.

When the result of genetics gone wrong rears its mutated head and threatens both of their lives, will they manage to survive and discover if a wolf deserves a happily ever after?

Review:

I bought the first book in this series because the sample was so ridiculously funny. I wasn’t disappointed.

Doe and the Wolf is the fifth book in the Furry United Coalition and while not as hilarious as the first it still had its fair share of ridiculousness.

Loads of puns and references to big bad wolves. Steamy sex scenes and a giant mutant gecko. What more could you ask for?

Next TV Show to Binge Watch

I’ve recently finished Leverage (review to come) and I’m looking for another TV Show to binge watch. Obviously I have issues managing my time since there are hundreds of other things I should be doing, but whatever. I do what I want.

I want a show that is either on Netflix or Amazon Prime. It also needs to be over, as in no new episodes. These are my options:
