Plot:

A woman travels back one year in time to the Christmas before her broken engagement and tries to repair what went wrong. She discovers that this is a challenging undertaking.

Review:

Alright, we’ve got a Christmas do over! Ali, Kelly Overton, thinks her entire life would be better if she hadn’t “over reacted” and dumped her boyfriend. Once she goes back we quickly realize he’s a tool and deserved so much more, but of course it takes her a while to catch on.

Her mother was borderline just no and there could probably be a whole movie or thirty minute side story about how she needs to finally live the life she wants.

The “angel” or whatever she was looked like a hooker when we first met her, which was kind of awesome. She was one of the best parts of the movie actually and I enjoyed each of her visits, even though she was a bit weird at first.

Ali ends up with the right guy, of course, but I thought the movie focused too much on the other dude and you didn’t really feel like the romance was there. There wasn’t much chemistry with the actress with either of the guys, actually.

Overall, cute movie.

Review:

This is the first movie my husband and I saw in 3D and it did not disappoint. Even now, watching on a non-3D TV it’s still awesome.

Boobs, check.

Penis, check.

Tons of drugs, check.

Seriously, what more could you want in a Christmas movie?

Harold and Kumar have drifted apart but a holiday miracle will bring them back into each other’s lives when they need each other the most. It’s beautiful.

I’m not a stoner, but I highly recommend these movies to anyone that loves crude humor. This is one of those rare series that each successive movie gets better.

Plot:

A put-upon teen finds himself reliving the same miserable Christmas day over and over again.

Review:

I’m really not looking forward to the teenage years if this and YA books are any indication. Maybe I can get rid of my kids when they reach that age.

Anyway, this was a classic repeating day movie, only this time it’s a stupid teenage boy re-living the worst Christmas of his life. It takes him a lot self-pity boring days before he finally starts to try and make the day better. It takes him a while to figure out that he can even change things. It’s ridiculous.

The new neighbor kid is of course a cute girl and he eventually ends up telling her everything and she accepts it. Days will pass and it will cut to them talking and she always knows what’s happening. It didn’t really make sense because at that point he’d be spending a lot of time telling her what was going on, but whatever.

Movie was eh, Christmas was a big part of it, but definitely not getting put into my rotation.

Review:

This was a cute little Christmas romance that I cried throughout. I blame pregnancy hormones. I just couldn’t handle a widow with twin boys being swept off her feet by a burly, rich man that fell in love at first sight.

I hardly remember the other books in the series, but it didn’t matter. The other characters were there but you didn’t need to have read the others to understand what was going on. I’d still recommend reading in order, though, because there were nods you wouldn’t have picked up on.

Cute book and series.

Review:

Once again not really set around Christmas. However, Santa is there and so are elves and the North Pole so it’s still got that vibe. It’s a pass as a holiday book, but barely.

I wasn’t sure if I was going to like Sven, especially after my feelings for Oskar, but I really warmed up to him. Watson describes him as a hippy but he’s not the image of a stereotypical tree hugger that pops into my mind. At least not by the end of the book.

Andi was fine, very intrepid reporter thinking about her story until she falls in love. There was no spanking in this one so I liked that lol

Enjoyed the ending and it’s clear what the next one will be about. I’m curious to see how Gregor does with Andi’s sister and how the family thing ends up working out.
