Plot:

Debbie Ocean gathers an all-female crew to attempt an impossible heist at New York City’s yearly Met Gala.

Review:

I’m a fan of the Ocean’s movies, and all the women in this movie, so I was really excited when it came out. After finally getting to see it I’m very happy with how it turned out.

Sandra Bullock is finally out of prison and she has learned all the wrong lessons. Or maybe the right ones, depending on who you are. She knows exactly what she needs to do to pull off the perfect jewel heist and maybe get some revenge in the process.

In true Ocean’s movie style, everyone is beautiful, the setting it ostentatious, and there’s a twist at the end. I loved it, more please.

I would have loved a bit more background on the characters. They were all so interesting. Sadly, I’m not sure if we’re going to get a sequel, which is a huge bummer. Seriously, Hollywood why would you not want to put all these women in another movie together?

Director:

Starring:

Jamie Lee Curtis

John Cleese

Kevin Kline

Michael Palin

Plot:

In London, four very different people team up to commit armed robbery, then try to doublecross each other for the loot.

Review:

I swear I’ve watched this movie before, I know I have, but the only scene I remember was in the game Scene It. I didn’t even remember the ending.

Oh well, Jamie Lee Curtis is awesome in this, not only is she gorgeous but she’s the brains. She’s got all of them wrapped around her finger. I freaking loved the ending.

Four people pull a diamond heist, not a very elegant one, but that’s not the point. They have the diamonds and that’s when things really get started.

The movie is funny, but not often laugh out loud. I was expecting more slapstick and there were moments, but honestly if it wasn’t for Kevin Kline’s character it would have been an entirely different movie. He was deranged and weird, while everyone else was mostly normal.

It’s an older movie and a bit dated when it comes to airport security, but still fun.

Director:

Starring:

Channing Tatum

Adam Driver

Daniel Craig

Plot:

Two brothers attempt to pull off a heist during a NASCAR race in North Carolina.

Review:

I like a good heist movie and this was certainly a good heist, however it moved too slow for my liking. There was a ton of talking and just watching and set up, but it kept you in the dark about some things too.

There was hardly any action and several times I was triggered by parenting choices. I also wish they’d make a movie set in the South that wasn’t—ugh. Okay, I know that what they showed was completely accurate, the way the people were and the fair they showed, and I’ve heard people talk like Adam Driver did, but can we not see a movie where the South looks normal? It’s just a personal pet peeve of mine.

Anyway, even though I wasn’t a fan I did really enjoy the ending. It answered all the questions and gave you closure but was just ambiguous enough that I could think what I wanted to happen did and if someone else wanted something else they could do that too. I liked that.

My husband loved the movie, he named out all the NASCAR drivers that appeared and enjoyed the whole thing, it just wasn’t for me I guess.
