Review:

This was definitely a Lego movie first. I found the humor fun at the beginning, but by the end of the movie it wore on me. It was just too many references and snide comments. I’m not sure how my daughter found it entertaining because of that, but she’s three and the dialog is probably the least of her concerns.

It was entertaining and sometimes fun but overall not something I need to see again.

Review:

I do not have the nostalgia attached to the teenage mutant ninja turtles that my husband does. So while he never had a desire to see this movie I was curious.

I do not like the turtles voices and thought they were pretty god awful looking. How do each of them have different accents? Who in production looked at them and thought, “Yeah that looks good.”

Maybe I had more nostalgia attached to them than I thought?

I liked no aspect of this movie. From the turtles, CGI, story, acting, and directing, it did nothing for me and I pretty much hated it.

Also, this should really be re-titled the April O’Neal story since it spent most of the time on her.

In all honesty, I did not watch the last twenty minutes. I couldn’t, I lost all interest, and just didn’t want to waste my time.

Review:

Loved how this movie looked. Just loved it. Brought back so many memories and the detail was great. There were thumb prints on the shiny parts, teeth marks, and normal wear and tear from everyday use. The details were a subtle clue that more was going on and I liked that. I liked that we weren’t hit over the head with innuendo that there was more than meets the eye. It just sort of happened and didn’t take away from the animated parts.

The story wasn’t quiet as awesome as the look but it was still enjoyable, just a bit predictable. It’s a kids movie though so it gets a pass.
